This is a brand new short bowel syndrome and other bowel mal-absorption problems discussion board. I have a jejunostomy, four feet of small bowel, no colon, and sbs. I have been treated with growth hormone and on a highly individualized diet and live a TPN free lifestyle. I will be looking forward to the new folks visiting this site.

...some of you know me by Randynoguts...here's my story.
"They told my wife and folks that I probably would not last the night. (I was very sick) so the brothers and sister flew in from all over the country and came for my soon to be funeral, but I surprised everyone and wasted there airfare by coming out of it about 6 days later."
Randy has been through a jejunostomy and now has about 80cm/ 2 1/2 feet of bowel left, with another 8 inches due for removal. Read his incredible story here.
